I’m so excited to get to share this with y’all today! I’ll get to the snakeskin skinnies in a moment, but first let me tell you how this all came about.
I was invited to a Fall Fashion Blogger Event at The Shops of Grand River in Leeds, AL on Saturday. It was so much fun. We had brunch catered by Olexa’s Cafe, which has amazing food.

Afterward we got to hear some great fall fashion tips and trends from Tracy James Robinson.
Isn’t she adorable?! She had some great advice about print mixing and adding texture to your outfit to create interest. She shared a quote which I loved: “Wear your clothes tight enough to show you’re a woman but loose enough to show you’re a lady.”
After the fashion segment we teamed up in groups of 4 for a scavenger hunt around the shops. Luckily Rachel was one of my teammates because she knows The Shops of Grand River like the back of her hand. Here we are finding our clues.

We won the scavenger hunt and got an extra gift card to spend on ourselves. Yay for #TeamFallFashion!
After getting our swag bags which were filled with coupons, Ghiradelli chocolates and a $50 gift card, we all hit up the Shops to see what we could find. I was after the snakeskin printed skinnies that Tracy mentioned she found at Dressbarn, of all places.
I was thrilled to find them, in my size, and for less than $30. Score!
Since one of my favorite things to do when I buy a fun new piece for my wardrobe is to come home and play dress up, I thought it would be fun to show you different ways I would wear them with items I already own. So each day this week I will share a different look with you and I’ll wrap it all up on Friday by offering a $50 gift card to The Shops of Grand River to one random winner. Obviously this giveaway benefits Birmingham area shoppers only, but I hope you’ll check out each day and maybe get inspired to try a new Fall trend.
For the first look I went for a work/office feel and paired the printed skinnies with a blazer, necktie blouse and pumps. I tucked in the blouse to keep it looking polished and added a studded skinny belt.
blazer: Daisy Fuentes from Kohls, blouse: Marshall’s, skinnies: Dressbarn {similar here, here and here, plus size here}, pumps: Nine West, ring: Wet Seal, belt: Express
What do you think? Would you wear this look?
Check out Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, and Day 5!
**Special thanks to KC Projects, Rachel of Alabama Bloggers and Grasping for Objectivity and of course, The Shops of Grand River. It was a fantastic event.

They look great! I seriously might have to go back and get those while they still have the in my size. They really are pretty neutral if you pair it with a colorful topper. And I just bought a black blazer similar to the one you are wearing. I like it!

Cute outfit, I really like what you did with how you pulled the skinnies together for an office look- looks great! I have searched far and wide for a navy blazer, but not having any luck- I really like yours. What an awesome event, the food looks so good and all the freebies and scavenger hunt had to have been lots of fun and getting to shop all you want and have gift cards to spend- can’t beat that for a weekend day or any day for that fact, lol! I really do like how you pulled off the snakeskin skinnies for a more polished look

Blazers are hard to find in a budget friendly price point. The cheaper ones aren’t lined or don’t fit as well. It’s hard to find a good blazer, but I love this one from Kohl’s! I wear it with jeans and dress pants

I actually don’t haha. It’s very “clinical” where I am now so not many people care about fashion there :\ Thank you friend!

Trina-I absolutely love this look! You’ve inspired my fall wardrobe. You know my love for leopard so I was walking a fine line between that pattern and snakeskin, but now you have me toeing the line for sure.
