I think it’s pretty much a requirement that if you live in the South you have to own at least one pair of cowboy/cowgirl boots in your lifetime. I bought these a few years ago and before I made the leap I did my research. I am super picky about boots and I wanted a quality pair, something that would last me a lot of years so I definitely wanted real leather. When I finally found these, I knew they were the ones. I loved the harness detail, the color, and the banana heel. They were pricey, but oh so worth it.
The most interesting moment I’ve ever had with a pair of shoes I had with these boots. The day they came in the mail I was so excited that I tried them on immediately. Well sort of. It took a sweet forever to get my foot in the boot because there was no side zipper for easy on/off. I was so determined to get them on and prance around my house in my new boots that I wasn’t even thinking they might be even more trouble to get off. When I was done with all the prancing I went to take them off and discovered I was in big trouble. There was no way in Hades I was getting those boots off by myself.
With all the drama of a damsel in distress I called hubby and asked if he could get home ASAP, I was stuck. Stuck in my new boots. He just laughed. He almost couldn’t get them off either. I was thisclose to panicking, thinking I’d be crawling in bed that night firmly rooted in those boots. But eventually he pried them off my {now hurting} feet.
I almost cursed the day I ordered those puppies, but I made the best of it. Only wearing them when I knew I would have help to get them off at the end of the day. The things we do, right?! I know, I’m crazy. But I’m sure I’m not the only one.
Thanks to my friend Lindsey who gave me a little doohickey that helps remove boots I never have to worry about getting stuck in them again. It works like a charm!
cardi: DIY sweater to cardi, tank: Old Navy clearance rack, necklace: Shoplately, ring: Jewelmint, jeans: Emerson Edwards by Vault denim, boots: Justin, polish: “Trina” by Julep with metallic “Saran wrap” effect on top
PS We got our annual family pictures done this past weekend! I absolutely can not wait until I get them back from Haley. This is the 5th year we’ve used her and I think this is the best year yet! These boots make an appearance. In fact, the whole fam is wearing their cowboy/cowgirl boots
Can’t wait to show you!

Love the boots! Really like the whole outfit, I’ve been wearing a lot of blue and green lately- they look so good together. Being a Southern country girl myself I have owned so many western boots, even growing up in them riding horses and competing in barrels. Still love my western boots to this day, like you it is always best to get the good ones since they will last FOREVER! You are too funny with your story, I had to laugh and at least your hubby rescued you
