This weekend I went to my first dotMom conference, put on by Lifeway. I’d heard so many good things from last year’s conference that I just knew I couldn’t pass it up this year, especially considering it was in my home town!
This is what I wore to day 2 of the conference on Saturday. It might have been 87* here, but that didn’t stop me or half the ladies from wearing our boots. It was the first day of Fall and by dang, I was wearing my boots. I’m glad I did because it was FREEZING in the conference hall.
Drape front cardi: Totsy sale, tank: Target, skinnies: Marc Allison, boots: 6pm, necklace: Charming Charlie, ring: Jewelmint
This week I thought it would be fun to include a few more ways I would wear this cardi/tank/skinnies/boot combo. Because a post here here on xoxo, Trina isn’t a real post without a little leopard print. Apparently. #obsessed. Yes I just hashtagged in a blog post and yes, it’s a real verb. Real as in, I just made it up.
leopard scarf: Marshall’s, paisley scarf: Old Navy
More about the weekend…I finally got to meet my sweet friend Heather IRL! Love that girl to pieces and it was so great to finally hug her neck! I got to meet some other great ladies too but I didn’t snap any photos.
The conference itself was really good. BigMama {Melanie} and BooMama {Sophie} were the emcees and funny as always. I’ve met Sophie a few times before because we both live in Birmingham and are both huge Dave Barnes fans so I always run into her when he comes here to play. But I’d never met Melanie until this weekend, so that was fun.
We heard from some amazing speakers like Jen Hatmaker, Vicki Courtney {bought two of her books at the conference!}, Sissy Goff, David Thomas, Esther Burroughs and had some great Q&A’s with Korie Robertson of Duck Dynasty fame {who is just too cute for words}, women who’s lives were changed by sponsorship through Compassion International {had me all teary eyed}, and John Croyle {very inspiring}. Worship was lead by Melissa Greene {so good}! I could not have asked for a better weekend. The next conference is in Texas in February and then next September in Chattanooga. I’m already planning to go to Chattanooga next year!
I feel like I went off on a tangent! haha Anyway, as usual for my outfit posts, I’m……

I live in skinnies! haha I just bought a great pair at Target, the premium denim legging, but they are thick denim, not thin. Love them!

Great outfit Trina, love the boots! Haven’t worn any of mine yet, but will soon. The conference sounds amazing, haven’t been to those, but lots of others and I always just love everything and meeting new people and just getting a blessing from all the worship and speakers. So glad you got to go! Would love to go to the one in Chatanooga, but just cause I live in TN. doesn’t always mean I get to do and go where I want, lol! I would like to go so we shall see. Sometimes we get a lot of bad weather then, too so that’s also a factor. The scarves are really nice, too.

Sorry got the dates confused thinking the one in Chatanooga was in Fed., but since it’s next year during this time maybe I’ll get to go. I just can’t type right or think straight tonight, can I? LOL!

That’s it! I’m coming to AL to raid your closet! You have the CUTEST, most stylish outfits. I know what I like, I know what would go together, but my closet isn’t representing my style =[ Also, please teach me accessorizing because quite frankly, I’m the worst at that,
