The Messy Project – September 2012

September 19, 2012 by Trina 42 Comments

I’ve been so excited about this post for weeks now.  I stumbled upon Kelly’s blog back in July and fell in love.  She had just started what she dubbed The Messy Project.

The Messy Project

The Deal:

1 top

5 girls

5 different looks

1 major blog post day

I sent her an email that second and said I wanted in.  And she gave me the next available spot for September, so I’ve been waiting for almost 2 months!  Too long, people, too long!  Ha!

I hope you like what I did with the sleeveless top/tunic Kelly chose for us.  My first instinct was to pair it with leggings, but that was too easy.  My second idea was to put it over a long sleeved dress.  I liked it but I needed to stretch myself further so I put it over a skirt and tank instead, then added a *MUSTARD* cardi.  It was just the pop of color I was looking for and I think really helped bring out the leopard print in the shoes.

tunic: Kelly, cardi: DIY from long sleeved tee, basic black tank and skirt, shoes: sole society, necklace: Shoplately, ring: Kohls, watch: Walmart

So, what do you think?  Did my risky choice pay off?

Make sure to stop by The Messy Project post to see the other contributors.  I’m excited to see what they did with their top!

As usual for Wednesday outfit posts, I’m linking up with these bloggy blogs also!
