Ok, so I think my new fave combo is stripes and leopard print. It just goes so well together.
I picked up this tunic tee at Old Navy a few weeks ago when they were on sale for $10, and I also got a green one. After I went home and tried it on, fell in love and went to order more, I saw it had some bad reviews. A few people complained of them getting holes in them after washing. I’m praying mine hold up because I seriously love this tee. I lived in the black one weekend before last and the green one this past weekend. {Coming up in an outfit post soon!}
tee: Old Navy, cardi: Kohl’s, skinnies: Willi Smith via TJ Maxx {similar}, flats: Jessica Simpson {similar}, necklace: Shoplately, leather cuff: Etsy, custom made with a peacock feather, watch: Walmart {I’ve been wearing the mess outta this watch lately}, ring: Kohl’s, polish: Julep in Rose and Sienna
On a random note, I’ve been really wishing I had long hair again. I spent an embarassing amount of time on Sunday researching hair extensions and watching videos on Youtube. But I just can’t do it. I want to but it feels weird to wear fake hair {or hair that’s not mine haha}. Since Sunday I’ve gotten two compliments on my hair, so I reckon I’ll keep it this way a while longer
What are your thoughts on hair extensions?

Love it – great outfit – my mom wants one and so does my sister.

that’s a super cute outfit! those colors look great together.
old navy’s clothing really isn’t made all that well, so that’s sad but not surprising that there may be holes.
your hair looks good on you. keep it that length!

I know, it’s so sad. And their sizing drives me bonkers. haha Thank you Lesley!

Love the stripes + that bright blue. You look great!

Thank you so much Jane!

I love it!! I’ve been searching for some similar blue skinnies in maternity! I really want bright blue ones this year.
September 12, 2012 at 4:55 pm
Love it! I have been having the same problem although I have a bunch of red and chambray thrown in too. I think I went for about a week when every outfit had at least two of the four (stripes, leopard, red & chambray). Whew!
But growing out is definitely a pain. My hair was about the length yours is almost two years ago. It is pretty long now, but the intervening time was kind of a pain.
Love your hair, it looks great on you. Not sure about extensions, I couldn’t do it just because it would feel weird to me.
September 17, 2012 at 8:30 pm
Thanks so much CC! Yeah I don’t think I could either, same way I feel about artificial nails…they don’t feel secure to me! haha I think extensions would feel the same way or just make me paranoid about them falling out in public. haha

i LOVE it. and love your smile!

aww thank you friend!

I really like the outfit- the black and blue look really well togehter and then the leopard flats which I would rather wear the flats than the heels since there are times when so much standing doesn’t bode well with me and heels. I really think you tied the whole outfit really well together. Lovin it once agian Trina! I have long hair, but if I didn’t I couldn’t even fathom the thought of hair extnsions, but that’s just me, lol. I was at Old Navy on Labor Day night and don’t remember that top, but then again I didn’t have a whole lot of time to look around either, but I would have gotten one or two as well. Your hair fits you so well, but if you decide to go longer I am sure it will look good, too- that’s your call. I think you are pretty no matter what what you do.

You are so sweet Lou, thanks my friend!

haha girlie you are too cute! I’ve toyed with the idea of extensions and I’m not saying I’d rule them out! A couple of my friends have tried them both bonded ones and clip in. They look really nice I think! My hair stylist swears no to them but I say do what you like! They look cute and you only live once! Love your outfit! I’ve started a “fall must have list”. A pair of *colored* denim skinnies is on that list. I’m leaning towards cobalt. It’s a nice color! Have a great week!
September 17, 2012 at 8:28 pm
Thanks Nicole! Cobalt is such a hot color for fall! Definitely go for cobalt

That necklace is gorgeous. I love it! And I love the whole look especially the cobalt leggings and the leopard shoes. Super cute! Popping over from WIWW.

Thank you Lindsay! So glad you came by!

LOVE the leopard/stripe mix, Trina! As for extensions, I understand some companies will give you a trial week, then you can send them back if you don’t like them. But you should know, you have hair most women would kill for. It’s gorgeous!!!

Thanks Sarah, I do get a lot of compliments on it. Sometimes I just want something different but it’s hard to change such a short cut that’s stink straight haha
September 13, 2012 at 1:16 am
Before I even read your post, I noticed that your hair is getting longer and how much I LOVE it like this! I’ve always liked your shorter cut but I really LOVE this.
