2012 Week 12

March 25, 2012 by Trina 4 Comments

Was this week SPRING BREAK for anyone else?!

We didn’t go anywhere exciting but I did take Thursday and Friday off to be with the kiddos.  I’ll have to post more of those pics this week but here is my week in photos.

March 18 – I made this Peach Crunch Cake {aka Peach DUMP Cake because all you do is dump everything in a pan and bake}.  Do yourself a favor and make this.  I’m warning you though, it’s highly addictive and may cause you to gain some extra L.B.’s.  Just sayin’.

March 19 – New mani.  Moxie by Zoya {and they pinned it to their pinboard!}

March 20 – I might keep polish on my fingernails at all times, but my toes were seriously neglected until Tuesday when they got a coat of shiny red polish {Sooki by Zoya}.

March 21 – I got the awesome privilege of participating in a video focus group for Southern Living magazine.  It was being shot for their national sales meeting coming up this week.  I hope I’m able to see the finished product, if so I’ll let you all know!  We were given a gift card to a local restaurant and this gorgeous Southern Living Heirloom Cookbook for our time.  I love it!

March 22 – I was off work so I took the kiddos skating with my friend Ami and my brother and my niece.   Rayna had been begging to go back to the skating rink since we went to a party there in November.  They had a blast!

March 23 – It was a rainy day so I took the kids to the new town library and we came back to make homemade pizza.  Even the pizza dough and sauce was homemade!  So proud of myself for pulling it off even if it did take me three hours from start to finish haha.  I actually made two; a spinach and feta pizza for hubs and me and a cheese pizza for the kids.

March 24 – We had a lazy Saturday morning…look who came and crawled into bed with me!

  1. Love your nail color, Trina!! I have a post request: could you show us your favorite top/base coats, and tips for getting manicures to last a long time? Also, your favorite brands of polish (I know a few of them). Maybe you could even walk us step-by-step through a basic, one-color manicure??? If you’ve already done this, sorry! I didn’t find anything on your site. I just feel like I’m constantly trying new products and wasting money, and my nails to still start chipping or peeling in 1-2 days!

    Anyway, looks like a fun week!!

    • Yes, I’ve been wanting to do a basic mani post. Must make the time to sit down soon and do that {with photos!}. Thanks for the request :)

  2. also, I’m totally making that dump cake TONIGHT. mmmm
